Dr. Neemez Kassam, M.Sc., N.D., R.Ac.

Dr. Neemez Kassam is a licensed Naturopathic doctor and a registered Acupuncturist. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a B.Sc. he continued his academic career by attending Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington to earn a M.Sc. in Acupuncture, as well as completing the first two years of Naturopathic Medicine. Upon completing the M.Sc., Dr. Kassam moved to Toronto where he completed the final two years of the Naturopathic medical program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM).

Dr. Kassam is currently an associate professor and the department head in Asian Medicine at CCNM, and has been teaching there since 2001. He has been the proud recipient of the "Excellence in Teaching Award" for the past 6 years as voted on by the graduating classes.

Clinically Dr. Kassam has been focusing on the treatment of fertility and infertility with both females and males. Using the principles and philosophy of Chinese medicine and Naturopathic medicine he has helped many couples acheive their goal. Treatments are given alone, or with assisted reproductive techniques (IUI and IVF).

In addition to fertility, Dr. Kassam has a passion for musculoskeletal concerns and sports injuries. Having played at elite levels in ball hockey and soccer, he has experience and understanding in treating a wide variety of physical ailments. Acupuncture has been proven in many research studies to decrease or minimize chronic pain, and may play a role in decreasing rehabilitation times.

Other areas of focus are: female reproductive health, allergies, common colds, digestive health, and weight management.

Dr. Mitchell Zeifman, B.Sc., N.D

Dr. Mitchell Zeifman has been practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor since graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2003. He creates individualized treatment plans for his patients by following the principles of Naturopathic Medicine to support the healing power of the body and to identify and treat the underlying cause of disease.

By combining the wisdom of traditional healing practices with the latest in research and clinical practices, Dr. Zeifman treats conditions as varied as digestive complaints, cardiovascular disease, anxiety and depression, male and female specific disorders, arthritis, allergies, and autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Zeifman uses a variety of treatments to improve the health of his patients in the gentlest and most effective manner. Some of these include clinical nutrition, acupuncture, detoxification, botanical medicines, and homeopathy.

In addition to his training in Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Zeifman is also certified in Bowen Therapy, a gentle, non-invasive technique of muscle and connective tissue manipulation, which can stimulate healing in a wide range of health problems, from muscle and joint pain to hormonal problems.

Dr. Zeifman is a supervising naturopath at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, the teaching clinic at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. He is available for educational seminars, as well as individual appointments.

Dr. Andrea Cleaver, B.Comm., N.D.

Andrea Cleaver is a naturopathic doctor who completed a four year, full-time doctorate program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Canada.

Having originally trained as a Chartered Accountant, Andrea’s life-long interest in health led her to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine. She has great passion for promoting well-being, with a conviction that prevention is the best cure. Focusing on the mind-body connection, using various modalities, she incorporates research-based treatments and evaluations to achieve results. Andrea is dedicated to addressing individuals’ health concerns in a compassionate and comprehensive manner.

Andrea centers her practice on educating patients about how to increase their level of awareness on their health issues, helping them to make educated decisions on their path towards optimal health, and true quality of life. Using a holistic approach, she guides individuals along their unique journey to well-being, inspiring them to embrace a more balanced way of life.

Andrea enjoys applying the principles of Asian Medicine as a regular part of her practice. She incorporates homeopathy, in which she added a 2 year extracurricular course, ‘Homeopathy By The Book’, to further her proficiency in this modality. During her education at CCNM, Andrea received highest marks in her year for Botanical Medicine.

Andrea has a special interest in women’s health, including menstrual disorders, fertility concerns and menopause. In the past, she has had success treating many conditions, including chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and mental and emotional concerns. She regularly provides dietary and lifestyle counseling as well as stress management. Andrea is friendly, approachable and empathetic.

Andrea Cleaver is certified by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners, and has obtained her license from the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy. She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). Andrea is accepting new patients.
